Living the way I was meant to be

My life is a new now I’ve closed the door on you. Heart once a mess finally be at rest. Healed piece by piece gone are tears and grief and I’m free to be open to the sun. And the times through the grey I didn’t think I’d see the end but years heal the pain and I’m open one again. A channel for love, rising above, free to be me in the sunshine.

On a gorgeous morning as this, I’m feelin’ motivated. Appreciating one’s existence. Been thru the thick of it, ‘til I got sick of it. Picked myself up, started conducting business. A beautiful struggle, compromised from pain, ability to release it, and love once again. Just a point I felt I had to prove: enjoy the present. The future comes too soon.

You gotta start at the beginning to learn at the end. Fueled by hope for a brand new start, I sing out free from my once broken heart. And I know through the shit is a brand new day as I reach out to feel the rays.

It’s hard to beat such great feelings as this. Makes you think back to the day that we were dreaming as kids. You know, the innocence: what you wanna be when you grow up? We’ll still be figuring out our lives when we’re grownups! Never doors shut, we only open ‘em. Dreamscape subjected to put a little hope in ‘em. Took a breather, now it’s time for us to focus in. Return after a cold winter like a crocus can. It took time for these buds to blossom. We’ve been waiting for the summertime to get it poppin’. So once the lake’s warm enough, ayo! We hop in and never stop ‘til dawn, and on, and on…
It’s like a weight’s been lifted, a chance I’ve been gifted. It was all to be found in time’s passing by. Fueled by the sound and love as supply
